Government promises to empower women countrywide

Gender Principal Secretary Ann Wang'mbe says the government will take affirmative action aimed at empowering women across the country. Speaking during this year's Women's Economic Empowerment, whose theme is ' What works for women's ecnomic empowerment, the PS said the government will support strategies aimed at enhancing women's access to economic opportunities. The forum that brings together leaders, policymakers and other stakeholders seeks to find solutions to challenges faced by women in their quest to unlock business opportunities.
