The National and County Governments have been urged to support Disabled Persons Organizations(DPOs) at the grassroots to strengthen their capacity for self empowerment. The Chairperson of Kakamega County Disability Caucus Lucy Mulombi says the Disabled Persons Organizations represent persons living with disabilities and can therefore propagate life transforming interventions. She was speaking during the final day of a three-day training session offered by the United Disabled Persons of Kenya(UDPK), Light for the World in Partnership with the Kakamega County Disability Caucus.
