A Kenyan police officer serving under the Kenyan-led multinational security support mission in Haiti has died. According to a statement from the National Police Service, the security team came under fire from suspected gang members while on patrol on the 23rd of February 2025.The officer sustained gunshot wounds and was rushed to hospital, where he succumbed to the injuries inflicted. According to the statement, the family of the deceased has since been notified.
