The construction of the 15 Billion shillings Bagamoyo -Horohoro-Malindi Road project crisscrossing Mombasa and Kilifi counties is gathering pace with the multinational project being implemented in two distinct sections. According to the Kenya National Highway Authority (KeNHA),the first phase of the project which is in Mombasa County involves the construction of four dual carriageways with service lanes, six grade-separated junctions, six footbridges, and non-motorized traffic facilities and it is currently at 31 percent.
