Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja held a media briefing moments after taking oath of office with a pledge to dismantle criminal networks and ensure perpetrators of crime are brought to book. Kanja who was surrounded by officers from the National Police Service, Administration Police and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations read the riot act to criminals saying he will ensure the country is safeguarded from acts of crime and terrorism.
