The Kenya National Union of Nurses and midwives has vowed to hold an industrial action on January 13th if the government fails to address their demands. The union has raised concerns over a shortage of nurses, failure to implement their 2017 collective bargaining agreement, stagnant promotions among other issues. At the same time, the Kenya environmental health and public health practitioners union has warned kenyans that they could be consuming food contaminated with fecal matter and mercury, which pose serious health risks.
