Waziri wa uhifadhi wa mazingira na misitu Adan Duale amewahakikishia Wakenya kwamba serikali kwa ushirikiano na Ufaransa imejitolea kukomesha visa vya mioto ambavyo vimeripotiwa katika maeneo mbali mbali humu nchini. Akiongea wakati wa kuanzisha msafara wa magari na vifaa vya kuzima moto katika makao makuu wa shirika la kuhifadhi misitu-KFS, waziri Duale alisema serikali pia imebuni makundi ya kukabiliana na dharura ambayo yatatumiwa droni kutambua visa vya mioto kwenye misitu. Kufikia sasa hekta-1500 za misitu zimeharibiwa na moto huku visa-231 vya mioto vikiripotiwa kote nchini katika kipindi cha miaka miwili.
