Kisumu City residents are being cautioned against careless waste disposal. The City manager Abala Wanga while presiding over the launch of waste collection equipment, which included over 20 skip loaders, said those caught contravening the directive would be prosecuted.The skip loaders and waste bins will be placed at strategic points within and around the city for easy access and sustainable waste management. Abala Wanga is at the same time urging the city dwellers to utilize the 10th day of every month to plant trees and participate in the general cleaning of the city as gazetted by Kisumu County administration
