The county government of Mombasa has agreed to review licensing fees of Miraa and Muguka dealers from 80,000 shillings to 60,000 shillings. The levy cap was put in place to regulate distribution and consumption of the stimulant in the Coastal town.The agreement was reached upon following intervention by Embu Governor Cicily Mbarire who paid a courtesy on Mombasa Governor Abdulswamad Nassir at his office Wednesday. Nassir gave the dealers a 7-day grace period effective this Thursday to license their businesses.
