15 member states in the Great Lakes Region, Horn of Africa and Bordering States have been challenged to mobilize financial and technical resources to address the persistent challenge of small arms and light weapons proliferation. This was the clarion call during the 15th Technical Advisory Committee meeting for the Regional Centre on Small Arms states. Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi warned increased flow of unlicensed firearms was exposing the region to frequent security threats calling for urgent intervention and collaboration.
