A section of Kakamega county MCA’s have issued a 24 hour ultimatum to West Kenya Sugar Company to vacate the Mumias sugar factory premises. The MCA’s largely drawn from the Mumias region say that the involvement of West Kenya sugar company under Jaswant Rai in running the Mumias distillery and co-generation plants is intended to sabotage the revival of the Mumias factory.
