Nyamira County Assembly sittings have officially resumed after a 90-day adjournment following controversy over the impeachment of the house speaker. Speaker Enock Okero, who had been controversially impeached but reinstated by the courts, attributed the adjournment to the unrest witnessed on October 8, 2024. He highlighted the county budget and the county physical strategy paper as top priorities for the house and assured residents that service delivery, which had been disrupted by previous political instability, would now continue smoothly.
