Parliamentary Committee on Housing, Urban Planning, and Public Works has dismissed claims that affordable houses have been acquired by the wealthy elite, saying 80 per cent of the beneficiaries are ordinary Kenyans.According to the committee’s Chair Johanna Ng’eno they are tracking implementation of the program to ensure public funds are utilized effectively. He spoke during a tour of the 1.8 billion shillings housing project in Ruiru.
