Ruto courts Ukambani as he begins four-day development tour

President William Ruto has called on the Ukambani region to rally behind him and support his 2027 presidential bid, saying the region had been misled into opposition politics for far too long. Speaking in Makueni County, where he kicked off his 4-day tour of the region, the president fired back at his critics, telling them to prepare for a defeat in the next general election, adding that the one-term crusade was a waste of time.
