President William Ruto has ordered a halt to evictions on public land until affected families are provided with alternative housing. Speaking during his last tour of Nairobi in Kasarani, Embakasi West and Makadara the Head of State emphasized the need for lawful and humane approaches to land disputes. The President maintained that all persons who were displaced from riparian lands due to floods will be the first to be allocated the Social Housing units under the government’s affordable housing project.
