Stalled housing project for Garissa County resumes

Construction of the stalled Garissa Police Housing Project has resumed after it was handed over to the State Department of Housing and Urban Development.North Eastern and Coast Regional Director of Affordable Housing John Karanja says the goal is to have the construction complete within the next twelve months. The 227 million shillings project has three blocks, two at the Police line and one at the AP line. Karanja spoke during the technical handover of the project to the contractor. A total of one hundred and fifty houses comprising of one and three bedroom units are being built.
