The government has moved to reassure Members of Parliament over the delayed release of the National Government Constituencies Development Fund NG-CDF. Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi, appearing before Parliament, said treasury has released 7 billion shillings as of Wednesday and promised to release another 7 billion shillings by 29th of this month in its move clear the current backlog, which stands at over 21 billion shillings. Members of parliament expressed dissatisfaction over the piecemeal reaction, terming the amount as too little.
