Why Kenya Airways is under investigation by COMESA Competition Commission

National carrier Kenya Airways is under investigation by the COMESA Competition Commission over alleged unconscionable conduct in its treatment of passengers. COMESA Competition Commission CEO Dr. Willard Mwemba, said the investigation includes the airline’s refusal to reconnect passengers, provide accommodation and meals, and its conditional compensation following two complaints filed on prolonged flight delays. If found guilty, KQ may be fined for the offense like its Zambian counterpart that was recently fined 2% of its annual turnover for a similar offense.
