Nine people have been confirmed dead while more than twenty five others were critically injured in two separate road crashes along the bomet-narok highway on Saturday night. The number of deaths in a crash that involved a school bus belonging to mesabisabi secondary school that was carrying sda church members who were returning from a seminar has risen to seven after one more person succumbed in hospital. The school bus collided head on with a matatu that was heading towards narok at olonin bridge.
In a separate incident the same night, two people died on the spot at kipisarwet area on the bomet-narok highway in a head on collision involving a boda boda and a bus belonging to kisii classic company.
