Nairobi Gov’t on a project to install solar powered cold storage facilities in 43 markets

Nairobi county government has started a pilot program that will see all 43 markets within Nairobi installed with solar powered cold storage facilities ,to minimize fresh produce losses. Speaking while inspecting the pilot program in City Park market in Parklands, area governor Johnson Sakaja said his administration will establish similar units in other markets within the Nairobi to help traders safely store their perishable foods.
