Two police vehicles were torched, and a chief’s office vandalized in Majengo Estate as police clashed with irate protestors over the fatal shooting of a 17 year old boy on Tuesday night. Police say the boy was being pursued by officers on suspicion he was transporting bhang when an angry mob intervened, forcing the police to open fire, shooting him during the melee. Human rights activists have condemned the incident.
