Teachers' unions have raised concerns over fraudulent activities within the National Education Management Information System (NEMIS), which registers student enrollment to facilitate government funding. Calling on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to intervene, they expressed frustration over cases where students' details are mysteriously removed from the system just as government funding is about to be disbursed. The teachers lament that, despite an initial promise of receiving 50% of the first-term funding, they have only received 25% so far.
