Opinion is divided on two constitutional amendment bills of 2025 before the National Assembly and Senate seeking to attain the no more than two-thirds gender principle. The two bills seek to, among other issues, give effect to the two-thirds gender rule through the creation of special seats that will ensure the gender principle is realized in parliament. The number of special seats is to be determined after the general elections.
