    Nominated Senator Crystal Asige urged Kenyan media houses to play a stronger role in promoting inclusivity under the newly enacted Persons with Disabilities Act, 2025. The senator spoke during a media roundtable in Nairobi, where she highlighted key provisions of the law and called for fair representation of persons with disabilities.Speaking during a breakfast With different media houses ,Asige discussed on implementation of the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2025. The Act, recently signed into law, seeks to advance the rights, dignity and economic participation of persons with disabilities. She noted that the media must help change public perception by telling accurate and inclusive stories about persons with disabilities. Asige emphasized that inclusion is not charity, but an economic imperative.
