Over the past two years, two Ghanaian families have been in court, seeking justice, against secondary boarding schools they accuse of negligence in the deaths of their children. Between May 2023 and February 2024 six students, across Ghana’s secondary boarding schools, died in incidents their families say could have been prevented. In a landmark ruling, Ghana’s High Court found Achimota High School negligent in the death of 15-year-old Kevin Moses—a decision the school is now appealing.
