A standoff between Police officers and Protestors ensued in Kangemi, Nairobi County for the better part of Tuesday. Anti riot police officers engaged the protesters in running battles, lobbying tear gas canisters to restore normalcy along the busy Waiyaki way. However, the protests would turn ugly as suspected goons infiltrated the demonstration pelting stones on both private and public vehicles which were damaged severely. As Abdiaziz Hashim now reports passengers aboard the vehicles were left counting losses after their valuables were stolen.
