The government has cautioned healthcare facilities against detaining patients who were admitted in their facilities before the roll out of the new medical cover. In a statement the Ministry of Health has urged all the healthcare providers to ensure all patients admitted before 30th September are discharged using NHIF system. The ministry has further said that Social Health Authority is a continuous process that is currently progressing well despite minor challenges.. In the meantime the government has lauded Kenyans who have embraced the new medical cover after the official launch on 1st of October this year.
