The ministry of interior has come out to deny allegations of downsizing the security detail attached to Chief Justice Martha Koome, interpreted by the judges and magistrates’ association as an onslaught against judiciary independence. Interior cabinet secretary Kipchumba Murkomen says the officers have not been withdrawn but rather reassigned to attend promotional courses.
