Judge stops Ruto’s planned recruitment of 10,000 police officers

The Labour Court has nullified the NPSC’s planned recruitment of 10,000 police officers, ruling that the commission lacks the constitutional mandate to hire or manage police personnel. The court issued a permanent injunction stopping the exercise after a petition by former MP John Harun Mwau.
