The government ambitious program to clean up the Nairobi river will kick off on the 1st of October 2024. President William Ruto says 20-thousand youth will engaged in phase one of the program and they will be tasked with planting trees along the River, collecting garbage and undertaking repairs within city roads. To ensure the program is a success the president said national administration officers will take the lead in the formation of youth groups to be engaged in the exercise.
