Medics in the country have reassured patients that the nuclear medical procedure is safe for cancer treatment. According to the experts, the use of nuclear energy for cancer treatment targets the tumour and treats it before it spreads, unlike the conventional method. The assurance was made by cancer experts who convened at the Kenyatta University Teaching Referral and Research Hospital for a training forum on the safe use of nuclear energy for cancer treatment.
