Ruto whips the political leadership of Nairobi, promises a new-look city

President William Ruto says the government is committed to uplifting the face of Nairobi City through clearing garbage and cleaning Nairobi, Mathare, and Ngong rivers. The head of state said as the country’s capital, Nairobi is the gateway to East Africa and it must be restored to where former environment minister John Michuki left off. He spoke during a meeting with the Nairobi Governor, area members of parliament and the Nairobi Rivers Commission at the statehouse, Nairobi.
