The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission EACC have arrested nine traffic police officers who were caught extorting money from motorists under the guise of traffic law enforcement. EACC Spokesperson Eric Ngumbi, said the nine traffic officers were arrested at different spots notorious for bribe collection spots in Nakuru, Kajiado and Kisii between 25th and 31st December 2024, and processed at EACC offices and police stations. They were later released on cash bail pending finalization of the investigation and further action.
