People With Disabilities in Kakamega have called on the government to streamline Taifa Care to enable them access health services without any challenges.Speaking during the commemoration of World Disability Day, the Secretary general of Kakamega County Disability Caucus Catherine Shiundu said the transition from National Hospital Insurance Fund NHIF to Social Health Insurance Fund SHIF, has a series of gaps that are affecting People With Disabilities. She cited the shortage of disability-friendly infrastructure at the Kakamega General Hospital and other health facilities within the county urging the county government to address the matter.
