The recent move by the US government to withdraw its support from various humanitarian agencies such as the USAID, is likely to adversely affect programs supporting Persons with disabilities in Kenya and other developing countries. United Disabled Persons of Kenya CEO Sally Nduta says the global program has been playing a vital role in championing the welfare of the vulnerable in the countries. Sally who spoke during the launch of UDPK’s 5-year strategic plan in Nairobi , called for concerted efforts among government and private partners to bridge the financial and logistical challenges gaps left following the freezing of the support.
