Kilifi county Governor, Gideon Mungaro has secured a kshs2.8 billion investment to support 10,500 farmers grow cashew nuts in the county. The governor announced this during the issuance of a Sh21 million cheques to 23 Saccos and Sh4.5 million to farmer producer groups under the National Agricultural Value Chain Development Project. SACCOs and farmer groups have been urged to embrace modern technology in financial management as the county government works towards a more structured and profitable cashew nut value chain.
