Water scarcity has been a long standing challenge for the residents of Mukhobola village in Busia county. However, relief has finally come their way after the county government installed a solar-powered water pump. Anastacia Oballa, a resident and a fish trader said the water project has changed their lives as they no longer have to walk for long distances to fetch water. She also said cases of waterborne diseases have reduced as they have access to clean water.
