Over 1000 households in two Malindi villages are set to get electricity services for the first time since independence through the last mile project being implemented by the government.This follows the launch of the last mile connectivity project by Malindi Member of Parliament, Amina Mnyazi. The initiative targets residents of Mshongoleni and Kaoyeni villages. The residents have lauded the project saying it will boost economic activities as well as reduce the crime rate in the area, especially during the night.
