Taarifa ya USAID inasema agizo hilo litaathiri "wafanyakazi walioajiriwa" isipokuwa wale walio kwenye 'kazi na programu maalum zilizochaguliwa'.
Hii inafuatia msururumaagizo ya Rais Donald Trump kupunguza programu zinazofadhiliwa na serikali tangu alipoingia ofisini kama Rais wa Marekani.
Utawala wake umesema USAID inafuja pesa na inahitaji kuendana na vipaumbele vyake vya sera. Mustakabali wa shirika hili la Marekani upo mashakani.
