Widows living in different areas in Nyanza County have received housing and financial support through a private foundation that seeks to empower widows. According to Raymond Omollo Foundation, program coordinator Peterlis Ogendo, the initiative that is under the Widows Empowerment Program, aims to ease the struggles widows face in society. He stated that the program’s goal is to restore hope for widows and their families by providing housing, financial support to start businesses and bursaries.
