The central bank of Kenya has approved the acquisition of 100 percent of the shareholding of National Bank of Kenya limited NBK by Nigerian based access bank from the Kenya Commercial Bank. The approval means that certain assets and liabilities of National Bank of Kenya will be taken up by KCB Bank Kenya limited with the acquisition and transfer taking effect upon completion of the transaction.
