While some schools in other regions of the country are yet to receive funding from the ministry of education, Murang’a county has constructed over 250 classrooms set to accommodate more than 23,000 grade 9 students.
The county director confirmed that Murang’a has 486 public junior secondary schools and 70 private JSS centres. She added that the ministry of education has already provided lockers and textbooks to junior secondary school (JSS) students in public schools.
