The ethics and anti-corruption commission has defended the controller of budget against attacks from the council of governors in response to a report that puts the county bosses on the spot over diverse financial irregularities. Controller of Budget Margaret Nyakang'o had raised alarm over counties maintaining several bank accounts, which may be difficult to track. EACC believes this is an avenue for theft of public resources and is vowing to investigate all issues raised by Nyakang'o.
