A group of ward representatives from Nairobi County led by Korogocho Ward representative Absalom Onyango have called for the release of county bursary funds. Speaking in Nairobi, the leaders have pleaded with the controller of budget to facilitate disbursement of the funds. The controller of budget declared county bursaries illegal and the court was of a similar view, putting a stop to bursaries by counties.
