Local leaders from Subukia Sub County in Nakuru have called on the government, to consider moving all resources meant for bursaries to the ministry of Education, to ensure equality in the disbursement of the funds to the needy learners. Speaking in Subukia, Nakuru County, during the launch of bursaries under Hussein Dida Foundation, where Ksh522,000 were issued to 112 Students across the Sub County, the Philanthropist Hussein Dida, said that many deserving members of the public struggling to meet the cost of education are disadvantaged, in accessing the National Assembly and County Government grants, as the funds are used by politicians as a campaign tool. The beneficiaries were encouraged to make good use of the opportunity to better their school performance, so as to give back to the society upon completion of their education.
