Uganda opposition figure kizza besigye will stay in custody for another week before his application for bail is heard. The court martial trial was adjourned on Monday adjourned to 10th December 2024 to allow time for Martha Karua who will be lead counsel to obtain a temporary practicing license from the Uganda council. Besigye was picked up in nairobi two weeks ago by Uganda agents before being driven to uganda and locked up in a military jail. Together with his co accsed, he faces four charges which include being found with two pistols and ammunition, and seeking to buy weapons from foreigners in the Geneva, Athens, and Nairobi.
